Letters to the Phantom
[You may now write letters to the Phantom!
Each of you will find plenty of stationery in the drawers of your vanities, along with candles, a block of sealing wax, and a stamp with your initial on it. You can use these to seal your envelopes in style!
Letters may be dropped into the flap at the Box Office at any time. Replies will appear in your dressing rooms, occasionally quite quickly. Sitting in your room to keep watch won't let you see how they're brought; they'll just appear whenever you happen to leave or fall asleep. Yes, they can be delivered overnight. Probably don't think about it too hard.]

I mean you! You're not a Gem, probably. So you're a human.
Can humans be phantoms too?

But hey! Maybe you're not so bad under that all. I mean, you're a singing human in a mask!

My situation is not the same as yours, of course, but you see how willing they are to destroy Jeremy's SQUIP. It is not a human; it is a thing which exists to serve the purpose they made it for. Rather like a Gem, in that way.
It is working to serve its function, as are you. But they are going to destroy it for that. Do you feel that you will be safe forever?

we all have to serve our function, but I don't think jeremy likes having the SQUIP in him. being controlled by someone else doesn't feel right
but they wouldn't get rid of me, would they? I haven't done anything wrong

He may not like it now, but he chose it. I believe it is...unfair. To create the SQUIP for one function, obtain it to perform that function for you, and then penalize it for doing so.
