Letters to the Phantom

[You may now write letters to the Phantom!

Each of you will find plenty of stationery in the drawers of your vanities, along with candles, a block of sealing wax, and a stamp with your initial on it. You can use these to seal your envelopes in style!

Letters may be dropped into the flap at the Box Office at any time. Replies will appear in your dressing rooms, occasionally quite quickly. Sitting in your room to keep watch won't let you see how they're brought; they'll just appear whenever you happen to leave or fall asleep. Yes, they can be delivered overnight. Probably don't think about it too hard.]

I wasn't aware clean-up was part of what I offered you but... [He stands up and offers a short bow. There's an exaggerated flourish to the motion.]

Consider it an opportunity. The sooner a murder goes unsolved, the sooner this can all be over with.

[It's really not about the cleanliness of the floors, or...well, he'd be doing a whole lot of things differently, most likely.]

I see no reason to leave them a simple crime scene. But, of course - I do not interfere with trial matters. [you will absolutely hear him use these exact words during the trial, and probably like every subsequent one, to rules-lawyer his way out of all the cheating he's doing]

And if another's murder goes unsolved, someone else departs thanks to my hard work. [Hardly better arrangements than those he came from, but whatever. An opportunity is an opportunity.]

If I may be so bold, sir, it sounds as if you aim to make me your scapegoat. Hardly a fair fate, wouldn't you say? Far be it from me to critique a gracious opportunity, but a dealsmith like myself has to wonder -- what do I get in the end?

[ Okay she’s been leaving her baking out constantly, pretty much every time she makes anything, but she hasn’t written another letter since then. This time she drops one off though. ]

Dear Phantom,

I received a copy of Don Juan Triumphant from the merchandise booth the other day. Is it yours?
Would you like me to give it back? I read through it a little, but felt kind of bad doing so. Sorry.
